Shipping by USPS is a flat price to all continental USA locations. This is usually $4-5 per item. Combined shipping is available if you buy multiple items. Shipping by USPS to Canada and International Locations is available at actual cost. Insurance is Optional at buyer's request and will be paid by buyer. CONDITION-PHOTOS-REFUNDS Read the description carefully as information about condition, working order, size, materials of construction, vintage and my personal opinions and observations will be mentioned there. Sometimes I have a small quantity of an item but usually they are one of a kind. As far as the photos are concerned, I include views from all angles (if applicable), try to focus on any defects and generally let you see the toy as if you were inspecting it in person. That said, sometimes photos make things look better and sometimes worse. When a picture of a small item is blown up to a large size all kinds of defects seem to jump out at you...like looking at your skin in a magnifying mirror. The actual item seen by the naked eye, especially our aging eyes, often looks better than the photo. Your satisfaction is always important to me. If you are unhappy about the condition of a toy you get I am happy to give a full refund or exchange it if that is possible. Things do get past my notice sometimes (those aging eyes). |

Telephones, scales, kitchen appliances, dishes and utensils, baby carriages, televisions, sewing stuff : if you find it in the home you find it here !
4.5 inches (11.5 cm) tall, 3 inches (7.7 cm) wide, 4.5
inches (11.5 cm) deep EX The early 1950's tin toy scales that were manufactured in
Japan are amazingly colorful and covered with detailed litho
designs. They are almost all pretty rare and hard to find. I
am not sure how accurate that they are but when items are
placed on the scale, the needle on the dial moves to
indicate the weight. Sometimes the measurement is in ounces,
other times it is grams. This very clean and bright toy scale says Weight of Toy
on the front of the dial. The dial has a plastic cover
instead of the usual glass. Along with the usual fruits and
vegetables on the tray, one side shows a girl using the
scale to weigh a variety of foods, the other shows a boy in
a kimono surrounded by assorted sea food. On the back a boy
and girl are seen shopping at a market picking up fruits and
vegetables to weigh on their scale. Condition is
excellent. $125. 10 inches (25.4 cm) by 8 inches (20.4 cm) As an artist I used old stamp sets in my artwork, so I
always collected them. This is the nicest set I have ever
seen. It was made in pre-war Japan. In addition to the
letters (H and O are missing), period, comma and dollar sign
this set has 21 stamps that show animals, birds, 1930's
vintage cars, a motorcycle, a zeppelin, a bi-plane, a
trolley, a train, a bus, ships, a rickshaw, and a cottage.
There is also an attractive tin litho stamp pad box (the pad
inside is unusable). The paper label on the box is
beautiful. Condition is excellent in the original box except
for the two missing letters. $125.
Things that do not fit in the other categories : toy watches, toy telescopes, tops, pins, paper items, puzzles, toy guns, yo yo's and knives etc.
Card is 6 inches (15.2 cm) x 3 inches (7.6 cm) EX This all tin telescope comes on the original card. The
card has wonderful litho of a cowboy on his rearing horse
using the telescope to observe an Indian chief standing near
a log cabin. The telescope, like most toys of its kind, does
not do much. It does expand its own size when you pull it
out ( up to 4.5 inches) but that does not seem to affect the
size of anything you might view through it. The colorful
litho on the telescope shows the cowboy squinting through
the scope. Condition is excellent (the card might have some
tears where the wire anchoring the telescope is
attached). $8. Quantity-2 3 and 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) wide 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall Unopened Header Bag VG-EX This unopened package of vintage Japanese Gigantor puffy
stickers still has the original header card with an image of

aliases. The package contains eight stickers (all T-28 related)
that range from a small 1.5 inch (3.8 cm) tall to the full
figure Gigantor at 2 and 3/8 inches ( 6 cm) tall. There are
three Ironman stickers four small human character stickers
and one snow mobile-like vehicle. Condition is very good to excellent in an unopened header

heads, a lion, hippo, pig and monkey. Condition is excellent

Japan, 1950's vintage. $10. One Only 1 and 5/8 inches (4.3 cm) diameter EX This individual tin spinner top has a classic 1950's
design, a patterned table cover and fruit bowl centerpiece.
Condition is excellent but you'll need your own spinner
stick to spin it. Made in Japan, 1950's vintage. $10. One Only Box is 8 inches (25 cm) square EX in box I am not sure of the purpose of this boxed set of paper
litho on wood tiles. It could be an educational toy. The
tiles are much shallower than the usual blocks and the paper
litho is applied to one side only. Each tile is roughly 1.5
inches square and 3/8 inches deep. On the back is a printed
image of the Japanese character seen on the front left
corner of the front of the block. I assume that the image,
Japanese character and English word on the front are all
related. There are fifty tiles in all. The detailed and colorful printed litho on the tiles is
absolutely beautiful. Images range from animals, fruits, and
flowers to vintage vehicles and everyday household objects.
Condition is excellent in the original box. These were never
played with as far as I can tell. $225. One Only 3 inches ( 7.5 cm) in diameter VG Plus This 1950's Japanese tin top still has the original
string. On this one you hold the wood handle as you pull the
string to make the top spin. The lithoed part of the top
shows baseball images, including a batter, pitcher and
catcher. Condition on the litho area is excellent, the
painted part has some wear and discoloration. $45. One Only 4.25 inch ( 10.8 cm) diameter 4.25 inches (10.8 cm)
tall EX I thought this 1950's tin Japanese top was the most
wonderful thing I had ever seen until I got a larger one
with the same images. This top has everything you would want
in a 1950's Japanese toy. First of all the colors are
quintessential 50's : the turquoise blue, red,
orange-yellow, cream, pink and green (the green is not as
lime-green as usual). The images are also first rate
50's...the #8 Racer with driver, the scooter with girl
driving and small boy on the back, jet plane with pilot,
steam train and man on motorcycle. The only thing missing is
a trolley or some comic animal heads. The colors are vibrant
and the surface is shiny. The top works well. When it is
spinning you hear a low humming sound. There are some
shallow dents on the silver bottom of the top. Condition is
excellent. $175. One Only 3 inches ( 7.5 cm) in diameter VG This 1950's Japanese tin top does not have the original
string but I have some that would make an excellent
replacement, if you want it. On this one you hold the wood
handle as you pull the string to make the top spin. The
lithoed part of the top shows baseball images including, a
batter, pitcher and catcher. Condition on the litho area is
excellent, the painted part has some wear and discoloration,
more so than on the blue example. $45. One Only 2 and 1/8 inches (5.5 cm) in diameter, 2 inches (5 cm)
tall VG-EX This 1950's tin Japanese top is small but has some great
detailed images of a race car, a jockey on his horse, a boy
on a scooter, and a girl on a tricycle. The bottom of the
top has darkened with age and shows a little edge wear but
overall condition is very good to excellent. The top is the
string winder variety with a wooden handle. Vintage string
supplied on request. $45. One Only 1 and 1/8 inches (2.9 cm) long VG These small colorful novelty pins are prizes from an
early 1950's punch board....I know becaues I opened each
compartment and took the prizes out then sealed them up
again and kept the board for my collection. The 1 and 1/8
inch wide embossed tin pins are in the shape of a bus, or
trolley. The pins is hand painted in two colors, pink and
green, and red and green. Condition is very good. You are buying the lot of four for one price. Lot of 4 $10. One Lot Only Vintage
Japanese Spinning Top - Tetsujin 28 or
Gigantor-A 2 and 3/8 inches (6 cm) in diameter VG This vintage Japanese spinning top has a tin top face
showing two Gigantor or Tetsujin 28 images-one with him
flying, one standing, with a spiral design background. This is a string wound top. No string is available but
other similar tops I have had used a rather thick, soft
cotton cord. The underside of the top has a ribbed surface
that looks like plastic but sounds like tin when you tap
it. Condition is very good with only a bit of wear on the
edges $10. One Only Vintage

NOISEMAKERS- not a whistle or clicker but it makes noise: horns, clappers, rattles, whirling ratchets, kazoos
4.85 inches (12 cm) long VG The colors and comic animals on this tin kazoo are
classic 1950's Japanese. Many animal characters that you
will see decorating 1950's Japanese toys are on this kazoo.
They are dressed in their best multi patterened outfits too.
Colors are bright.but the paper that fits in the mouthpiece
to produce the hum noise is missing. Condition is very good
to excellent. $30. Quantity-2 4.75 inches (12 cm) tall and 2 inches (5 cm)
wide VG This tin pre-war Japanese ratchet noisemaker is an oval
cylinder with a wooden handle. The images decorating the
surface are of a singing guitar player, a blond woman doing
an energetic Charleston, and a scantily dressed person of
color beating a conga drum (Josephine Baker?). Garlands of
flowers and flags of Britain, the USA and Japan hang
overhead. Condition is very good with some light scratches on the
surface. The colors are bright. Twirling it while holding
the wooden handle produces a moderately loud sound. $55. One Only 3.5 inches (8.8 cm) tall VG-EX This small size noisemaker shows a clown wearing a
hipster hat and playing a saxophone. It was made in pre-war
Japan. I have a German version of this toy that is identical

playing a flute and a fiddle, a dancing elephant and a small
girl waving two batons and directing the whole show. The pigs look very much like Disney's three little pigs.
You hold the small wooden handle and spin the ratchet to
make the noise. The surface shows very little play wear. There is one
small spot of roughness on the front near the elephant. $45. One Only 4.75 inches (12 cm) long 1.25 inch ( 3.3 cm) wide VG This Pre-War Japanese novelty harmonica is wood with a
decorative tin litho face. This litho shows a series of six
flags from different countries : France, Great Britain,
Japan, Switzerland, the Russian Navy and one other that is
unclear. I collected these novelty harmonicas for the colorful and
interesting litho. They certainly do not work as musical
instruments. Many can produce no sound. This one can be
forced to produce a few weak notes. Aside from the musical performance, condition is very
good. One area on the right of the tin litho shows some age
related darkening. $35. One Only 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall 1.75 inches (4.4 cm) wide VG This colorful tin ratchet style Japanese noisemaker is

Olympic rings, the word Olympic, the Japanese and/or
American flags and the sport. Japan was allowed back in the Olymics in 1951 so it is
