There are four different versions of this vintage Japanese spinning top. Each depicts a dinosaur - like monster. I'm not sure if these are specific Japanese monsters. These heavy tops have metal rims and a clear hard plastic top that shows the monster underneath while the underside is a ribbed colored plastic. I got these tops in their original box that held 12 tops. The box was very boring...just some pink and red graphic design and Japanese lettering but it did include the winding strings, thick rope like cotton. Condition is very good to excellent. |

This vintage tin yo yo was made in Japan for the Japanese market. The yellow two sided yo yo has some Japanese characters and the words YoYo along the edge with an image of a fire breathing monster wrecking havoc on a city in the center. This is the same on both sides. Condition is very good with no real wear. This piece is probably unsold old stock. When you use the toy, a slight rattling musical sound is heard. |

This vintage Japanese spinning top has a tin top face showing one of the Ultramen (so many I can't keep them straight)with a flying saucer. A wonderful, colorful image. This is a string wound top. No string is available but other similar tops I have had used a rather thick, soft cotton cord. The underside of the top has a ribbed surface that looks like plastic but sounds like tin when you tap it. Condition is very good with almost no wear. |

This beautiful unused vintage Japanese post card is from an assorted pack. The card is printed on a light weight cardboard. The image is a drawing of a comic dinosaur creature with a large single horn and bony plates along his back.. He is holding a bowler hat in one hand and a young boy's hand in the other. He is also wearing a bow tie and a blue jump suit...so not your usual monster creature, but a happy, laughing, squinting one. |
