Everything in this category is Robot, Space, Super Hero, or Sci-Fi related. There are toys, robots, rockets, space vehicles, space guns and novelties with space or Japanese Super Hero related images plus all the Japanese paper items with these images. I actually collected most of the things in this category and they might be from my own collection. The Japanese produced the most fabulous space toys during the 50's and 60's and the Japanese paper space graphics are beautiful. I prefered the fantastical over the realistic so that is what you will find here.

Read the description carefully as information about condition, working order, size, materials of construction, vintage and my personal opinions and observations will be mentioned there. Sometimes I have a small quantity of an item but usually they are one of a kind.

As far as the photos are concerned, I include views from all angles, try to focus on any defects and generally let you see the toy as if you were inspecting it in person. That said, sometimes photos make things look better and sometimes worse. When a picture is blown up to a large size all kinds of defects seem to jump out at you...like looking at your skin in a magnifying mirror. The actual item seen by the naked eye, especially our aging eyes,often looks better than the photo.

Your satisfaction is always important to me. If you are unhappy about the condition of a toy you get I am happy to give a full refund or exchange it if that is possible. Things do get past my notice sometimes (those aging eyes).

This vintage Japanese hand held roulette game has an image of Ultraman Leo in the center of a tin disc with numbered sections along the edge.

When you press the tin lever on the side, the center tin part of the game spins and a small ball bearing rolls about, landing in one of the numbered sections. The case is yellow plastic.

Condition is very good and the mechanism works well.

This vintage Japanese mask is meant to fit a child's face. The colorful Iron King mask is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks.. Even the elastic is still stretchy.

The colors are metallic with the exception of the see through yellow eye area.

This vintage Japanese tin water pump has a wooden handle. Th pump has litho showing a blue robot, anime Space Boy, and a flying saucer with a dog pilot. Pulling up the wooden handle increases the height but does not make the pump work...that won't be happening after all these years.

Otherwise condition is very good with bright colors and one small chip in the litho on the side near the Japanese lettering.

This unopened package of vintage Japanese Gigantor puffy stickers still has the original header card with an image of Gigantor.....or Ironman, T-28, Tetsujin 28..he has a lot of aliases.

The package contains five stickers (all T-28 related) that range from a small 1 inch (2.54 cm) tall to the full figure Gigantor at 3 and 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) tall. There are three Ironman stickers and two small human character stickers.

Condition is very good to excellent in an unopened header bag. The back of the bag does show some dirt spots and a small hole in the plastic.

Tiny Vintage Japanese Tin Whistle-Gigantor

This tiny tin Japanese whistle is pretty rare. It depicts the flying robot Gigantor (also known as T-28, Tetsujin or Ironman). This is a whistle that was probably only for the Japanese market...it does not show up in the US.

Condition is very good to excellent with bright colors and a shiny surface. The gold tone back of the whistle has a few dark spots. It makes a shrill whistle sound.

This vintage Japanese tin whistle is one of a series of three rocket whistles in different colors. This is the red shooting Star rocket whistle.

Colors are bright and the shiny top surface has only a few minor scratches. The plain metal of the back has some darkened areas. The whistle has a pleasant double tone.

This small vintage Japanese tin whistle shows a space creature with claw hands. I do not recognise this character.

The colors are good and the surface shows some tiny scratches and chips of wear. The back has some areas of age darkening.

The whistle makes a shrill sound. Overall condition is good to very good.

These small book-like cards have an image of Astro Boy with two robots on one side and Gigantor (Tetsujin-28) and a rocket on the other. The colorful artwork has a naive quality.

The little book-like novelty opens to show a peel-off paper and some Japanese instructiions. I believe that these are magic smoke cards. The box they came in seems to indicate some kind of smoke or something that happens by rubbing whatever is under the peel-off paper between your fingers.

I tried it...nothing happens. So either it never worked or age has interferred with the desired result. Still, these are attractive images and I am selling them as a pair so that you can easily display both sides.

This colorful light weight cardboard game is still in the original bag with die, markers, and unpunched facial features. The game board unfolds to 8 x 10 inches. One side has a space scene with astronauts, planets, spaceships, robots, asteroids and rockets.

The others side has a simple pin-the-features-on-the-face game. An unpunched card with eyes, a nose, a mouth and eyebrows is included.

The game is in unused condition. There is no header to the original bag but perhaps there never was one.

This colorful fukuwari game has the face of Ultraman, along with some facial features to cut out by hand and place on the Ultraman face. Images of Godzilla-like monsters and Ultraman are seen in the background.

Colors are bright on this unusual game. There are two one half to one inch tears along the left edge that have been repaired on the back with acid free clear tape. A few small edge bends, light creases and slight corner wear are present.

Overall condition is good to very good.

Vintage Japanese Paper Bag with Invisible Ink Papers-Anime Hero with Feathered Mask
4.75 inches (12 cm) by 6 and 3/8 inches (16.2 cm)

This colorful paper bag has really attractive litho of an anime character wearing a red cape, a hood, and a feathered mask. He brandishes a futuristic looking rifle and has a number 15 on his chest.

The bag contains 7 or 8 sheets inside that have anime images in invisible ink (probably revealed by heat, but I am not positive). You can see a faint image on some of the sheets. The main attraction of this item is the fabulous image on the front. The back side of the bag has some Japanese lettering.

Condition is very good to excellent, and unused. I am not sure how well the invisible ink images will come up so there is no guarantee on those. You are buying this item for the great artwork on the front of the bag.

This colorful lightweight cardboard jigsaw puzzle has an image of Ultraman along with some rockets in the starry sky. This puzzle comes in the original plastic bag in unused, unsold excellent condition.

This vintage Japanese puzzle is one of six different ones from the same display card. The display card with all the puzzles is shown for informational purposes.

1950's Vintage Japanese Uncut Sheet of Menko Cards-Superman, Astronaut
5 and 3/8 inches (14.2 cm) tall and 7 and 7/8 inches (20 cm) wide

Unused Unpunched Excellent

These cards are printed on a heavy cardboard stock with brilliant colors on the front and only blue on the back. Along with Superman and two Japanese robots the other cards show a pilot and a dog (space travelers?) and a comic sword wielding samurai. The image printed on the back of each card is a space rocket ship.

Condition is unused, unpunched and excellent. This card is new-old stock and never played with by grubby handed children.

This un-cut menko card sheet contains 16 cards showing space images and a red robot. I'm not sure who these characters are.

The sheet has a glossy front surface while the backs of the cards are printed in brown ink showing Japanese characters along with cartoon-like line drawings.

Condition is excellent.

This new/old stock, un-cut sheet of Japanese menko cards has slightly smaller cards with 21 cards to the sheet.

The colorful cards depict images of a red Gigantor, Moonlight Mask, Ogon Bat, AstroBoy and various ninja and Samurai characters. The backs of the cards show the usual hand signs, numbers and Japanese letters along with a depiction of the Lunar Module, all in blue ink.

Condition is very good to excellent with no fading, corner wear or other age issues.

This extra large round card is printed in 1950's vintage colors on a mid-heavy weight cardboard. There is no printing on the back.

This steely eyed super hero boy ( Uchuu Shonen Soran) is accompanied by a squirrel with an antenna coming out of his little head (Space Squirrel Chappy!)

Condition is unused and excellent. This card is new-old stock and never played with by grubby handed children.

This vintage Japanese menko card dates from the time of the American moon landing. It depicts an astronaut standing on the surface of the moon with an American flag. The moon lander vehicle is in the background. The usual menko numbers and Japanese characters are seen on the front.

Condition is generally very good to excellent on the fronts of the cards. The backs show numbers written in marker, a marker spot and sometimes a small stamp (somebody's inventory control).

This vintage Japanese card is way too big and heavy to be a true menko card although that is what it appears to be. The card is a heavy cardboard 8 inches by 5.25 inches.

The artwork on front and back is wonderful, with the front showing a colorful scene of Rainbow Sentai Robin with the Robot Bemkei and the Pegasus character.The back is a single color ink (brown) and has some numbers, Japanese characters and a hand sign in typical menko fashion. Rainbow Sentai Robin brandishes a raygun as his flying robot pal Benkei strikes a rocketship out of the sky.

This card was never played with....I view it more as art than a toy.

These two different vintage Japanese menko cards each show an image of Eightman (or 8 Man or Eitoman). The backs of the mid weight cardboard cards have an image of Astro Boy and a space station in a single color (blue).

These cards were shaped with two cut-outs on the edge so a child could fly or fling them- probably by using a rubberband.

These are punched cards with a bit of paper loss on the edges on the back side. This sometimes happens when punching them out of their original sheet. The cards do not show play wear.

This vintage Japanese packet of coloring pages is unused. Inside the colorful bag are five pages with line drawings featuring a spaceman. The back of the bag has a repeat of one drawing page. These pages are slightly smaller than the bag (roughly 4.75 inches by 7 inches).

When you press the tin lever on the side, the center tin part of the game spins and a small ball bearing rolls about, landing in one of the numbered sections. The case is yellow plastic. The colors are good and the surface shows some tiny scratches and chips of wear. The back has some areas of age darkening. The whistle makes a shrill sound. Overall condition is good to very good. Pair of Vintage Japanese Magic Smoke Novelty Cards-Tetsujin and Astro Boy 3 and 1/8 inches 8 cm) tall 2 inches (5.2 cm) wide EX	These small book-like cards have an image of Astro Boy with two robots on one side and Gigantor (Tetsujin-28) and a rocket on the other. The colorful artwork has a naive quality. The little book-like novelty opens to show a peel-off paper and some Japanese instructiions. I believe that these are magic smoke cards. The box they came in seems to indicate some kind of smoke or something that happens by rubbing whatever is under the peel-off paper between your fingers. I tried it...nothing happens. So either it never worked or age has interferred with the desired result. Still, these are attractive images and I am selling them as a pair so that you can easily display both sides.	JPO-1 $12. PAIR
Vintage Japanese Double Sided Space Game in Bag 8 inches (20.5 cm) by 10 inches (25.5 cm) VG-EX in Bag	This colorful light weight cardboard game is still in the original bag with die, markers, and unpunched facial features. The game board unfolds to 8 x 10 inches. One side has a space scene with astronauts, planets, spaceships, robots, asteroids and rockets. The others side has a simple pin-the-features-on-the-face game. An unpunched card with eyes, a nose, a mouth and eyebrows is included. The game is in unused condition. Vintage Japanese Ultraman Fukuwari (Pin-the-Features-On) 9.75 inches (24.7 cm) wide 13.5 inches (34 cm) tall Good-VG	This colorful fukuwari game has the face of Ultraman, along with some facial features to cut out by hand and place on the Ultraman face. Images of Godzilla-like monsters and Ultraman are seen in the background. Colors are bright on this unusual game. There are two one half to one inch tears along the left edge that have been repaired on the back with acid free clear tape. A few small edge bends, light creases and slight corner wear are present. Vintage Japanese Paper Bag with Invisible Ink Papers-Anime Hero with Feathered Mask 4.75 inches (12 cm) by 6 and 3/8 inches (16.2 cm) VG-EX	This colorful paper bag has really attractive litho of an anime character wearing a red cape, a hood, and a feathered mask. He brandishes a futuristic looking rifle and has a number 15 on his chest. The bag contains 7 or 8 sheets inside that have anime images in invisible ink (probably revealed by heat, but I am not positive). You can see a faint image on some of the sheets. The main attraction of this item is the fabulous image on the front. The back side of the bag has some Japanese lettering. Condition is very good to excellent, and unused. I am not sure how well the invisible ink images will come up so there is no guarantee on those. You are buying this item for the great artwork on the front of the bag.	JPO-4 $10.

Along with Superman and two Japanese robots the other cards show a pilot and a dog (space travelers?) and a comic sword wielding samurai. The backs of the cards show the usual hand signs, numbers and Japanese letters along with a depiction of the Lunar Module, all in blue ink. There is no printing on the back. This steely eyed super hero boy ( Uchuu Shonen Soran) is accompanied by a squirrel with an antenna coming out of his little head (Space Squirrel Chappy!) The card is a heavy cardboard 8 inches by 5.25 inches. The artwork on front and back is wonderful, with the front showing a colorful scene of Rainbow Sentai Robin with the Robot Bemkei and the Pegasus character.The back is a single color ink (brown) and has some numbers, Japanese characters and a hand sign in typical menko fashion. Rainbow Sentai Robin brandishes a raygun as his flying robot pal Benkei strikes a rocketship out of the sky. This card was never played with....I view it more as art than a toy.	JM-33 $18.
