When a picture of a small item is blown up to a large size all kinds of defects seem to jump out at you...like looking at your skin in a magnifying mirror. The actual item seen by the naked eye, especially our aging eyes, often looks better than the photo. Your satisfaction is always important to me. If you are unhappy about the condition of a toy you get I am happy to give a full refund or exchange it if that is possible. Things do get past my notice sometimes (those aging eyes).

Japanese Menko Cards

Japanese Menko cards were sold to children as both a game card and something to collect. There was a propaganda component to some cards, especially the ones dating from the 20's and 30's. Images of actors, comedians, or political figures would be mixed in with the comic characters and super heros that would appeal to children. They were sold in sheets and individually. Some menko have images (in a single color) on the reverse side. Whatever their original purpose, I tend to view them as small works of art. I love the wonderful litho colors and images. Most of the menko I have are unused , some are even still unpunched or uncut on their original sheets. These are old stock that was never sold. A few of the cut cards that I have are used and the condition will be noted in the description.

	Early Menko Card-Lone Ranger ? 1 and 7/8 inches (4.7cm) in diameter VG-EX	This early 50's or pre-war vintage Japanese menko card shows a masked man...could that be the Lone Ranger (?) perhaps as imagined by the Japanese based on the radio show. I'm really just guessing, but the Japanese often have different visual representations of American characters. So maybe that explains why no white hat. Cards appear unused and colors are strong. 	Early Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Golden Bat 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in diameter VG	This vintage Japanese round menko card is a medium size. This skeleton head character looks like a Golden Bat incarnation. Colors are bright and condition is very good . There may be a slight mis-registration along part of the edge.	EMC-18 $10.
	Early Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Golden Bat-B 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in diameter VG	This vintage Japanese round menko card is a medium size, probably 1950's. This skeleton head character looks like a Golden Bat incarnation. Colors are bright and condition is very good. This is a color variation of EMC-18.	EMC-19 $10.
	Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Young Samurai Wakamusya 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in diameter EX	This 1950's vintage Japanese round menko card depicts a young Samurai warrior with a devil-like creature's head showing on the edge of the card. The word Wakamusya (meaning young samurai) appears on the edge of the card. The colorful card is blank on the back and is in excellent, unused condition. Made in Japan for the Japanese market. 	Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Mame Suke, Bean Boy, Issun Boshi 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in diameter VG-EX	This vintage Japanese menko card depicts characters from a Japanese fairy tale. A small (one inch, or bean boy) child is born to an elderly couple. He fancies himself a mini samurai, goes out in the world, fights an Oni, gets a magic mallet, etc. etc....there are a few different versions of the tale. I'm not sure why the tiny boy, the man (his larger self?) and the rabbit seem to be flying over the mountains. This card is blank on the back. There may be some misregistration in the printing on some cards. Otherwise this is an unused card. Made in Japan for the Japanese market.	EMC-35 $10.
	Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Musya-Samurai Spearman- Classic Horror Tale 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in diameter VG-EX	This 1950's Japanese menko card depicts the Samurai or spearman character from a clasic Japanese tale of horror. He descends into the abyss to save a maiden, battling monsters along the way. This tale was the subject of a 1992 Super Nintendo video game. This card is blank on the back. There may be some misregistration in the printing on some cards. Otherwise this is an unused card. Made in Japan for the Japanese market.	EMC-36 $9.
	Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Toracyan-Tiger on Exercise Bar 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in diameter VG-EX	This 1950's Japanese round menko card depicts a smiling tiger who is playing on the exercise bar while two other animals...a rabbit and some unknown one (you can only see his nose) look on. The word Toracyan (I think) is seen along the edge of the card but has the letters somewhat cut off. This card is blank on the back. There may be some misregistration in the printing on some cards. 	Comic Zorro Menko Card 1 and 7/16 inches (3.5 cm) diameter EX	This small size vintage round Japanese menko card or disc has an image of a comic looking Zorro with sword, mask and cape. He and his trusty steed both look astonished by something. Excellent unused condition on this menko card. Sold individually or as a lot of five.............they're small you need more than one. 	Large Menko Card Tarzan Fighting Crazed Ape 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) in diameter VG-EX	This large vintage Japanese menko card has beautiful 50's era colors. the image is of a boyish Tarzan fending off a crazed ape. JAPANESE MENKO CARDS- POST WAR 1960's and Later

The artwork on front and back is wonderful, with the front showing a colorful scene of a couple of Kaiju monsters attacking motorists, with Ultraman arriving to help rescue the motorists that have not yet been eaten. The back is a single color ink (dark blue-green) and has some numbers and a hand sign in typical menko fashion. A gruesome reptile monster is seen crushing a car and sending the hapless human tumbling to earth. This card was never played with....I view it more as art than a toy. KMP-5 $25.   Large Vintage Japanese Menko Card- Ultraman, Alien Baltan, Rainbow Sentai Robin 8 inches (20.5 cm) tall 5.25 inches (13.2 cm) wide VG-EX This vintage Japanese card is way too big and heavy to be a true menko card although that is what it appears to be. The card is a heavy cardboard 8 inches by 5.25 inches. There seem to have been a series of these. The artwork on front and back is wonderful, with the front showing a colorful scene with Ultraman and Alien Baltan and a slew of toothy reptiles. The back is a single color ink (brown) and has some numbers, Japanese characters and a hand sign in typical menko fashion. It also shows Rainbow Sentai Robin brandishing a ray gun as his flying robot pal Benkei strikes a rocketship out of the sky. This card was never played with....I view it more as art than a toy. Large Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Anime Western Cowboy 4.25 inches (10.5 cm) in diameter VG-EX This vintage Japanese round menko card is a large size, printed on a mid-heavy weight cardboard with no printing on the back. The colorful front shows a boy dressed as a cowboy, fanning his six shooter. Condition appears unused but there might be minor flakes in the cardboard edges on the back only. JM-8 $10. Large Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Zero Pilot 4.5 inches (10.5 cm) in diameter VG This larger size Japanese menko card shows the fighter pilot known as Zero-Sen Taro or Hayato. He is seen in the cockpit of his plane as another plane flys overhead, trailing smoke. Condition is very good on this mid to heavy weight cardboard card. Sometimes there are some flakes along the edges on the back. The cards appear to be unplayed with. JM-12 $10. Large Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Masked Outlaw 4.25 inches (10.5 cm) in diameter VG This largeer size vintage Japanese menko card is printed on a mid-heavy weight cardboard. It shows two cowboys, one an obvious outlaw complete with mask. the y have their guns drawn. Nothing is printed on the back of the card. Condition appears unused but the back edges of the cardboard may have some small flakes. JM-14 $10. Extra Large Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Hero Boy with Squirrel 4.5 inches (11.3cm) in diameter This extra large round card is printed in 1950's vintage colors on a mid-heavy weight cardboard. There is no printing on the back. This steely eyed super hero boy ( Uchuu Shonen Soran) is accompanied by a squirrel with an antenna coming out of his little head (Space Squirrel Chappy!) Condition is unused and excellent. This card is new-old stock and never played with by grubby handed children. JM-15 $10. Extra Large Vintage Japanese Menko Card- Boy Hero 4.5 inches (11.3cm) in diameter This extra large round card is printed in 1950's vintage colors on a mid-heavy weight cardboard. There is no printing on the back. This boy with the improvised cape must be a hero of some sort. The duck and the evil looking character with the gun are just another mystery. Condition is unused and excellent. This card is new-old stock and never played with by grubby handed children. JM-16 $10. Vintage Japanese Moonlight Man Menko Card 2.25 inches (5.5 cm) diameter VG This vintage Japanese round menko card shows a character that I think is Moonlight Mask or Moonlight Man. He is punching a bad guy. If you know for sure who this character is, please tell me. The colorful card is printed on a mid weight cardboard and appears to be unused. JM-20 $10 Man Landing on Moon Menko Card 2.75 inches (7 cm) in diameter VG-EX This vintage Japanese menko card dates from the time of the American moon landing. It depicts an astronaut standing on the surface of the moon with an American flag. The moon lander vehicle is in the background. The usual menko numbers and Japanese characters are seen on the front. Condition is generally very good to excellent on the fronts of the cards. The backs show numbers written in marker, a marker spot and sometimes a small stamp (somebody's inventory control). JM-23 $10. Large Round Vintage Japanese Baseball Runner Menko Card 3 and 5/8 inches (9 cm) diameter VG-EX This colorful round vintage Japanese baseball menko card shows a baseball player running. The back of the card is plain cardboard. The front shows some Japanese characters and sign language hand. Condition is very good to excelllent and unused but registration may be off center on some cards..more in the cutting than the printing and a slight wrinkle may be seen on the front. JM-27 $10. Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Robot and Astronaut 2 and 3/8 inches (6 cm) in diameter VG This colorful mid-weight cardboard menko card shows a robot with astronaut in the background. Condition is very good with minimal play wear. JM-28 $9. Vintage Japanese Menko Card- Eightman 2.75 inches (7 cm) in diameter VG This vintage Japanese round menko card has an image of the Japanese character Eightman. The mid-weight cardboard has a slightly glossy front and a plain back. This card is from some old stock that was never sold or used so condition is very good, good color on the front and slight age foxing on the back along the edge. JM-30 $7. Pair of Vintage Menko Cards-Eightman-Two Images 2.75 inches (7 cm) in diameter VG These two vintage Japanese menko cards show two different images of the Eightman character. These are un-sold old stock cards in very good condition. The backs of the cards are plain cardboard. Colors are good on the front. Pair of 2 Pair of Menko Cards-Gigantor and Jimmy Sparks 2.75 inches (7 cm) in diameter VG These two vintage Japanese menko cards each show different images. One is of the robot Gigantor or Tetsujin 28. The other shows two human character, including the robot's controller Jimmy Sparks, or Shotaro Kaneda. These are un-sold old stock cards in very good condition. The backs of the cards are plain cardboard. Colors are good on the front. Sold as a pair. This round card, printed on a mid-weight cardboard shows a masked wrestler in the background leaping on an unmasked one in the foreground. The colors are bright on the front but the plain cardboard on the back shows signs of dirt and stains (the pain of age !) Aside from the dirty back, the card is in good-very good condition. JM-34 $9. Pair of Vintage Japanese Menko Cards- Eightman 2.5 inches (6 cm) in diameter VG These two different vintage Japanese menko cards each show an image of Eightman (or 8 Man or Eitoman). The backs of the mid weight cardboard cards have an image of Astro Boy and a space station in a single color (blue). These cards were shaped with two cut-outs on the edge so a child could fly or fling them- probably by using a rubberband. Vintage Japanese Menko Card- Hero Soldier on Motorcycle 2.75 inches ( 6.9 cm) in diameter VG-EX This vintage round menko card has an image of a soldier hero on a motorcycle. The unused card has nothing printed on the back. JM-69 $10. Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Gigantor, Ironman 28 2.75 inches (7 cm) in diameter Good-VG This vintage Japanese menko card is a medium size. The character on the face of the card is Gigantr.or Ironman 28, shown with his boy controller, Jimmy Sparks. Nothimg is printed on the back. The card is punched and possibly used. The face of the card is fine but the back shows some chips or flaking in the cardboard. There is some dirt of the ages that I have not tried to clean. Overall condition is good to very good. JM-70 $12 Large Vintage Japanese Menko Card-Ninja Samurai Boy 4.25 inches (10.5 cm) in diameter VG-EX This large size vintage Japanese menko card has a colorful image of a waving boy Samurai on the face. Along with the boy, two figures wearing red pointy hoods ride on horses in the background. The card appears unused. The only sign of wear is a few flakes in the cardboard edges on the back side only. 	Vintage Japanese UnCut Jungle Boy Menko Card Sheet 6 and 1/8 inches (15.5 cm) wide 12 and 1/8 inches (30.8 cm) tall EX-Unused	This colorful sheet of five various size round menko cards is in unused condition. The cards are partially pre-punched but have never been removed. The card is a mid to heavy weight cardboard and the colored surface has a slight sheen. Depicted on the cards are a boy who seems to be a jungle dweller...like a boy Tarzan, he swings through trees, shoots arrows and launches coconuts at a horned snake-like monster. He even seems to have companions in these adventures. I'm not sure who he is.	JMU-1 $18.
	1950's Vintage Japanese Uncut Sheet of Menko Cards-Maboroshi Tantei Phantom Detective, Moonlight Man, Samurai 3 inches (7.7 cm) wide and 10 inches (25.5 cm) tall Excellent Unused	This sheet of uncut menko cards depict a masked boy with a red cap .I think he is the Phantom Detective-Maboroshi Tantei. Other characters are Moonlight Man, a cowboy and some Samurai. The cards are litho printed on a light to mid weight cardboard with beautiful 50's colors and lots of details. The backs of these cards are printed in blue/black or brown ink. The images on the back are of different military images paired with playing cards. Jets, a satellite, bombs, an atomic bomb exploding (!!!) etc. Condition is excellent on these 1950's era new-old stock cards. No children ever got to play with them.	JMU-5 $15.
	1950's Vintage Japanese Uncut Sheet of Menko Cards-Superman, Astronaut 5 and 3/8 inches (14.2 cm) tall and 7 and 7/8 inches (20 cm) wide Unused Unpunched Excellent	These cards are printed on a heavy cardboard stock with brilliant colors on the front and only blue on the back. Along with Superman and two Japanese robots the other cards show a pilot and a dog (space travelers?) and a comic sword wielding samurai. The image printed on the back of each card is a space rocket ship. Condition is unused, unpunched and excellent. This card is new-old stock and never played with by grubby handed children.	JMU-6 $18.
	Vintage Japanese Un-Cut Sheet of 21 Menko Cards-Ninjas, Skull Head, Samurai 3 and 3/16 inches (8 cm Wide 10 and 5/8 inches (27 cm) Tall VG-EX	This new/old stock, un-cut sheet of Japanese menko cards has slightly smaller cards with 21 cards to the sheet. They are printed on a lighter weight card stock. The colorful cards depict images of various ninja and Samurai characters, including one with a skull head, and a green robot. The backs of the cards show the usual hand signs, numbers and Japanese letters along with a depiction of a comic samurai in brown ink. 	Vintage Japanese UnCut Sheet of 16 Menko Cards- Robots-Tiger Mask- Sci-Fi 7.25 inches (18.7 cm) wide 12.25 inches (40 cm) tall VG-EX	This unsold, uncut, unused sheet of vintage Japanese menko cards contains 16 cards printed on a light to mid weight cardboard. The colorful cards show an assortment of images : astronauts and a spaceship, Tiger Mask, and robot like monsters. The backs of the menko cards are printed in a brown ink only and show Japanese lettering and strange semi-comic drawings of people and animals as seen on TV sets.	JMU-11 $25.
	Vintage Uncut Sheet of Japanese Menko Cards-Actors, Celebrities 10 inches ( 2.54 cm) tall 3.25 inches (8.3 cm) wide Excellent Uncut Unused	This sheet of Japanese menko cards probably dates from the 50's. The sheet is a lighter weight paper than most menko cards. I do not see how they could be used to play any kind of throwing game. Perhaps they were just to collect. The cards have images that are photographic in nature and obviously depict actual people, probably actors or other celebrities. The reverse side of the cards contains playing cards and military images. Condition is excellent on this sheet of uncut, unused cards.	JMU-12 $12.
	Un-Punched Pre-War Menko Card Sheet-Japanese Characters , Betty Boop, Mickey Mouse 10 and 3/8 inches (26.2 cm) wide 6 inches (5 cm) tall Fair	This attractive sheet of 15 un-cut round menko cards has an assortment of characters on the slightly pre-punched cards. Each round card is about 1 and 7/8 inches in diameter. Along with Mickey Mouse and Betty Boop, a possible Donald Duck, a dog, a golfer a pig, a baseball player and a Japanese boy are images of seven Japanese actors or celebrities of the pre-war era.. The colorful fronts of the cards have the numbers and rock-paper-scissors hand signs along with some Japanese lettering. The backs of the cards are plain. There are bits of the edges of the sheet that are missing or damaged. and the back of the sheet has some cello tape securing the menko in place.....check the photos. There is some minor foxing or age discoloration to the edges. The cardboard is a light to mid weight. The menko cards themselves are in nice shape.	JMU-16 $20.
	Vintage Japanese Menko Card Sheet-Golden Bat, Masked Characters, Octopus 3.25 inches (8.3 cm) wide and 10 and 3/8 inches (26.3 cm) tall VG-EX	This sheet of un-used, un-cut vintage Japanese menko cards contains eight cards. Printed in colorful, attractive detailed litho on a mid-weight cardboard. The mix of characters on the card includes Ogon Bat, a masked Cowboy (Lone Ranger's brother), an Indian chief, a couple of Samurai, a Knight with a metal hood, a strange masked character with a green hood that has Batman -like ears, and some sailors fleeing a giant Octopus. The backs of the cards are rather simple: just playing cards with small rock-paper-scissors hand signs and some numbers....all in blue ink. Condition is very good to excellent on these new/old stock cards with no real age issues.	JMU-17 $10.
	Vintage Japanese Menko Card Sheet- Skull Head, Golden Bat in Space, Others 3.25 inches (8.3 cm) wide and 10 and 15/16 inches (27.9 cm) tall VG-EX	This vintage un-cut sheet of eight Japanese menko cards is printed on a mid weight cardboard. The only character I recognize is Golden Bat, or Ogon Bat in the lower right corner. He seems to be flying through space with a boy astronaut. The other characters pictured are a mystery to me. Condition is un-cut, unused new/o;d stock with no real age issues. Colors are bright. The backs of he cards have playing cards, hand signs (rock-papeer-scissors) and military images. These include a rocketship, airplane, bomb blasts, and a couple of officers who may represent real people. These are printed in a single color of ink (greenish).	JMU-18 $10.

	1960's Vintage Japanese Sheet of Uncut Menko Cards Norakuru, Tiger Mask, Yokai Monsters 9.25 inches (23.3 cm) tall 6.25 inches (15.7 cm) wide VG-EX, Unused	This unpunched sheet of 6 large round cards and 8 tiny round cards is printed on a heavy cardboard stock with brilliant colors on a semi-gloss front with no printing on the back. The large cards are 2 and 5/8 inches (7 cm) in diameter. The most recognizable characters are the monsters...there is a scary fire breathing guy with his space boy..and Norakuro or Black Dog one of the first Japanese comic characters. The other cards have additional colorful images: Tiger Mask, anime characters, haunted Yokai characters. Condition is unused, unpunched and excellent. This card is new-old stock, probably 1960's vintage and never played with by grubby handed children.	JMU-25 $25.
	Pre-War Japan UnCut Menko Card Sheet-Pop Eye, Mickey Mouse, Norakuro, Japanese Comics 4.5 inches (11 cm) wide 11.25 (28.5 cm) tall VG	This pre-war Japanese vintage sheet of uncut menko cards has 12 colorful cards including images of Norakuro (Black Dog), Mickey Mouse, Pop Eye and some early Japanese comedians (Enoken, possibly Roppa). The little boy in the sideways cap is Fuku-Chan. The backs of the cards show the usual menko images (rock/paper/scissors hand signs) and are printed in one ink color only. The front of the sheet has a slight sheen. Condition is very good on this unused sheet of cards. Colors are good and there is very little foxing or age discoloration to the mid weight card stock. 	Vintage Japanese Menko Card Sheet (B) Samurai and Ninja Sword Fighters   3 and 3/8 inches ( 8.7 cm) wide 10 and 3/8 inches (26.3 cm) tall	This un-cut sheet of 8 vintage Japanese menko cards is a light weight, flexible cardboard. The colorful menko cards have an assortment of images of sword fighting Samurai and ninjas. The backs of these cards have different drawings of the same sword fighters with the usual menko numbers and rock/paper/scissors hand signs printed in a dark blue. Condition is very good on this sheet of unused cards with light general age discoloration on the white borders and some foxing to the edges on the back.	JMU-39 $10.
	Vinatge Japanese Menko Card Sheet- Space Scenes, Red Robot 11.75 inches (29.8 cm) tall 7 inches (17.8 cm) wide EX	This un-cut menko card sheet contains 16 cards showing space images and a red robot. I'm not sure who these characters are. The sheet has a glossy front surface while the backs of the cards are printed in brown ink showing Japanese characters along with cartoon-like line drawings. 	Vintage Japanese Menko Sheet-Turkey, Gangsters, Samurai, Farmers 11 and 1/8 inch (28.2cm) wide 2.75 inches (6.9 cm) tall EX	This vintage Japanese menko card sheet is an un-cut strip of eight cards. There are four different images : a turkey, gangsters, a samurai and a rice farmer. The colors on these cards are intense. The colors and designs are very 1950's looking. This sheet contains a man and boy (shown front and back) along with two sport coats and two shirt and shorts outfits for the child (all shown front and back). Other items: food, toys and accessories decorate the sheet and could be cut out if you are good with small scissors. Each piece is partially pre-punched to make using them easier. You have to be careful with the clothes because for some reason the tabs that fold over to hold them on the figure are not pre-punched and would have to be cut out. The shapes are not partially punched but would have to be cut out by hand. This sheet shows a girl and boy shown front and back. She has a ballet outfit and he has a Japanese jacket. Both are shown front and back. There are other accessories to cut out carefully with your little scissors: caps, a radio and toys. Condition is excellent, unused. 	Vintage Japanese Paper Dolls Sheet-Race Cars and Drivers 13 and 7/8 inches (35.5 cm) tall 10 inches (25.3 cm) wide VG-EX	This unusual sheet of racing related paper dolls shows a race car driver, front and back along with four different race cars. He has two changes of clothes...a Honda shirt and a striped blazer that has him holding a trophy. The driver, his clothes and the four race cars are pre-punched. Some other accessories would need to be cut out manually. This large size sheet of colorful paper dolls is a light weight cardboard. It is unused and un-punched. The sheet shows a young girl ballerina, along with another young woman who has various outfits to wear. The figures are shown front and back. The clothes are western dress in wild 50's colors and patterns. Various small accessories are available to cut out : flowers, candles,gloves, hats, a book, etc. Condition is excellent and unused. 	Vintage Japanese Unlicensed Disney Sugoroku in Original Sleeve 35 inches (88.9 cm) wide 25 inches (63.5 cm) tall VG-EX	This vintage Japanese paper game sheet comes folded in the original sleeve. The sleeve is 11.75 inches (29.8 cm) by 8.75 inches (22.2 cm). When unfolded, this is one of the largest sugoroku examples. Both game and sleeve have fabulous 1950's colors and artwork. This sugoroku, printed on a light weight paper, has numerous Disney images (probably unlicensed) such as Pinnocchio, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Dumbo, Cinderella, Bambi, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland and a few others. The sugoroku is unused in the original sleeve. There is light foxing due to age and possibly small holes where folds intersect but overall condition is very good to excellent. The game has a paper die that you have to punch out and fold into shape.	JPS-2 $60.

The paper sleeve has a label with colorful images of John Wayne with a Samurai in the background and jet planes overhead hints at the sugoroku subject matter : cowboys, Indians, astronauts, Japanese celebrities, samurai or actors, Golden Bat, etc. This sugoroku, printed on a light weight paper is in unused condition in the original sleeve. There is light foxing due to age and possibly small holes where folds intersect but overall condition is very good to excellent. 	Vintage Japanese Two Sided Sugoroku in Header Bag- Underwater Exploration and Clown Fukuwari 24.75 inches (62.8 cm) by 18 inches (45.7 cm) EX	This colorful vintage Japanese sugoroku board game is folded in the original header bag with die and a sheet of pre-punched markers. The mid weight cardboard game is two sided and in unused condition. The game board is covered with images of underwater exploration on one side and a more muted color clown face on the other. The clown is the pin-the-features-on Fukuwari. The pre-punched features are on the same sheet as the markers.	JPS-4 $40.
	Vintage Japanese Circus-Cowboy Sugoroku 30.5 inches (7.5 cm) wide 21 inches (53.3 cm) tall VG-in Sleeve	This vintage Japanese paper game sheet comes folded in the original sleeve. The sleeve is 10.25 inches (26 cm) by 8.25 inches (21 cm). When unfolded, this is one of the larger sugoroku examples. Both game and sleeve have fabulous colors and artwork. The game shows a comic looking cowboy and his horse witnessing a shooting in a city and escaping into the circus where further adventures await. The game has a paper die that you have to cut out and fold into shape. This unused game has a few small tears along the border (these will be stabilized with acid-free tape) and a pin hole or two. 	Pre-War Sugoroku Children Foreign Travelers 17.5 inches (44 cm) by 24 inches (60 cm) Good	This early Japanese sugoroku game sheet originally came folded and the sheet still shows the folds. It is a bit larger than most of the sugoroku I have (almost 18 x 24). The images on this game are all of children who appear to be on an around the world trip as we see them in various foreign locales or near well known landmarks: Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower, London Bridge, Leaning Tower of Pisa etc. This game sheet was mounted on a board with double face tape which proved quite difficult to remove. Some acid free book tape repairs were necessary on the border...the four corners and in the center on the longer sides. One corner actually has a bit of the backing I could not remove, along with a piece of the border that is missing. These repairs only impact the border. The main body and images are unaffected. There is overall light foxing but condition is still good.	JPS-8 $45.
	Vintage Japanese Game Board-Kamen Rider and Monsters 10.75 inches ( cm) tall 15.25 inches (cm) wide VG	This medium weight cardboard game board is covered with images of Kamen Rider and assorted related monsters and characters. Playing card symbols, Japanese characters and number values are seen on the front of each card. Every three cards forms an image..I'm not sure if they are to be cut out and matched or how the game is actually played. The backs of the cards all show the same blue ink drawing of a Kamen Rider figure. Condition is very good and unused. The corners may have some small folds and there is very light foxing visible on the back of the game	JPS-11 $25.

It has images of anime kids, ninjas, yokai (ghouls, ghosts etc.), a baseball player, a comic scary Frankenstein monster, Mexican masked wrestler, and assorted animal and human characters. This vintage Japanese game sheet was only folded once, and then stored flat. It can probably be shipped rolled. Condition is very good to excellent. There is a small printing defect that looks like a wrinkle in the paper that runs vertically near the Frankenstein image (see photo).	JPS-12 $45

The vintage Japanese game sheet was only folded once and then was stored rolled. It will probably be shipped rolled. 	Vintage Sugoroku- Booska and Jungle Kids 21 inches (53.5 cm) wide 15 inches (38 cm) tall VG-Ex	This colorful and attractive vintage Japanese paper game sheet is printed on a light weight paper. The images on the game sheet are all Japanese anime and superheroes. The cute Booska is seen in the center with those prehistoric kids. Other characters show in the other panels: Ultraman is one I recognize but there are others: ninjas, samurai, space astronauts, and let's not forget the monsters. This game sheet is in very good condition with no damage or age related issues.	JPS-18 $30.
	Vintage Japanese Anime Comic Robot Sugoroku Game in Header Bag 24.5 inches wide by 18.25 inches tall Ex in Original Header Bag	This mid weight cardboard sugoroku game board comes in the original header bag with a small header bag inside with plastic counters and a die. The game shows an assortment of Japanese anime characters including a cute spotted robot. The surface of the game has a slightly glossy finish which causes some reflections in the photos. Colors are bright. The game is unused and unsold and still in the original header bag	JPS-20 $20.
	Vintage Japanese Double Sided Space Game in Bag 8 inches (20.5 cm) by 10 inches (25.5 cm) VG-EX in Bag	This vintage Japanese folded cardboard sugoroku game is a two sided game. One side has a space game with astronauts, planets, spaceships, robots, asteroids, and rockets. The other side of the cardboard shows a face for a pin-the-features-on -the-face game. The original bag (no header card) also contains an unpunched card of facial features and a die and plastic counters for the Space game. This appears to be an unused, unsold game.	JPS-21 $25.
	Vintage Japanese Game Board or Cards-Fairy Tales 10.5 inches (26.5 cm) tall 15.5 inches ( 39 cm) wide Excellent	This medium weight cardboard game board is covered with colorful images of girls representing characters from fairy tales. I can see Little Red Riding Hood, Peter Pan, The Little Match Girl, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel. The others appear to be princesses, ballerinas and girls in kimonos. There is one that is an owl or bird-girl wearing a kimono. I'm not sure how this game is played...whether you cut out the cards or use the sheet as a game board. Either way the very attractive sheet works as art. Condition is excellent and unused on this 1950's vintage Japanese game.	JPS-23 $25.
	Vintage Japanese Game Board or Cards-Animals 10.5 inches (26.5 cm) tall 15.5 inches ( 39 cm) wide Excellent	This medium weight cardboard game board is covered with images of animals: there might be a tie-in with the animals of the Chinese zodiac. We have rat, horse, cow, sheep,tiger, lion, monkey, rabbit, rooster, dragon, dog, snake and boar. Each animal is shown as an adult and as a baby. Playing card symbols and Japanese characters are seen along the bottom edges of the animal images with numbers along the top edge. The Joker cards are a comic looking elephant who has been cut into three pieces (and he's still smiling!) and a confrontation between a tiger and a dragon. I'm not sure how this game is played...whether you cut out the cards or use the sheet as a game board. Either way the very attractive sheet works as art. Condition is excellent and unused. 	Vintage Japanese Exotic Animals Game Board 15.5 inches (39.3 cm) wide 10.5 inches (26.6 cm) tall VG-EX	This light weight cardboard game board is some kind of matching game. It looks like you have to cut out the cards to play but I am not sure how the game works. The colorful sheet has a semi-gloss surface. Animals are shown with their offspring and some of them have a definite "cute" quality: the baby bear, deer (looks like Bambi), elephant and orangutan (they are sort of Jungle Book characters). Most of the animals are pretty exotic with the exception of the pig and squirrel. The board is unused and in very good to excellent condition.	JPS-26 $25.
	1950's Vintage Japanese Large Game Sheet of Comic Animal Cards 15.5 inches (39.5 cm) wide 7 inches (18 cm) tall VG-EX, Unused, Un-Cut	This large sheet of colorful cards has images of comic animals on each card. They are dressed for the most part and participating in their favorite activities. There are cats, elephants, monkeys, lions, bears, dogs, bunnies and a giraffe. They are playing baseball, running, fishing, boxing, decorating a Christmas tree, dressing up and generaly having a gay old time. The images are printed on a light weight cardboard with beautiful 1950's colors. The backs of the cards are printed in blue with a delicate design. I am not sure how this game works, or if you had to cut out the cards but this game sheet is unused. Condition is very good to excellent with some foxing to the edges of the paper.	JPS-31 $25.
	Vintage Japanese Sugoroku Game Sheet- American Movie Stars 21 inches (53.5 cm) wide 15 inches (38 cm) tall Good	This colorful vintage Japanese sugoroku game could be pre-war or just after the war (early 50's). It shows an assortment of American movie stars. The ones I was able to identify (with help.... thanks, Brian) are #5 Gary Cooper, #3 John Wayne, #12 Errol Flynn in red suit holding gun , #9 Victor Mature in green suit, #7 Tarzan (either Jock mahoney or Lex Barker). The robot #10 looks like it is from a 1930's pulp magazine. This game was folded only once down the center. The colors are quite bright but the paper shows signs of age. There is foxing (age related darkening) and brittleness to the paper. This shows up mostly in the border where some small chips of paper are missing. This game is still very attractive and in overall good condition.	JPS-33 $45.
	Vintage Japanese Sugoroku- Animal Transportation and Fukuwari 30 inches (76.3 cm) by 21.25 inches (54 cm) Good	This vintage Japanese sugoroku is the large size. It also is two sided with not one but two different games on the back....a pin the features on the face game (Fukuwari) and a type of baseball game. These are printed in blue ink only. There are no additional game pieces and the instructions are in Japanese. This game was made for the Japanese market. This 1950's era game came folded and still shows those folds. It almost looks like it was refolded differently at some point (like the map you can't fold back the way it was originally). I flattened it a bit while doing some repairs but it will be shipped folded. The thin paper game sheet shows some age with wear at the corner folds and some splits on the folds that I have repaired on the back side with acid free book repair tape. The paper shows some age related stains and some foxing. Overall condition is Good.	JPS-34 $55.
	Vintage Japanese Sugoroku Dokachin the Primitive Boy 15.25 inches (38.5 cm) by 21 inches (50.4 cm) Good-VG	This vintage Japanese paper sugoroku is covered with brightly colored images of Dokachin the Primitive Boy. The game was folded originally and has a center fold, but was kept rolled so the fold is not overly visible. The bottom white border has been trimmed off right at the image and the right side border is trimmed a bit close to the image. Overall condition is good to very good. Colors are bright and the closely trimmed edges are the only problem.	JPS-38 $30.
	Vintage Japanese Ultraman Fukuwari (Pin-the-Features-On) 9.75 inches (24.7 cm) wide 13.5 inches (34 cm) tall Good-VG	This colorful fukuwari game has the face of Ultraman, along with some facial features to cut out by hand and place on the Ultraman face. Images of Godzilla-like monsters and Ultraman are seen in the background. Colors are bright on this unusual game. There are two one half to one inch tears along the left edge that have been repaired on the back with acid free clear tape. A few small edge bends, light creases and slight corner wear are present. Overall condition is good to very good.	JPS-50 $25.
	Vintage Japanese Sugoroku-Little Ghost Q-Taro 20.5 inches (52 cm) wide 14.5 inches (37 cm) tall Good	Ths vintage Japanese sgoroku game is printed on a light weight cardboard with a semi gloss surface. The game is folded in quarters. The little ghost Q-taro is seen in a garden or farmyard setting with animals and birds, a pond, stream and bridge that Q-taro must go through. There are some small tears on the folds at the edges (I'll repair these with acid free tape (on the back) but the folds still have a visible white line on the front due to the type of clay coated paper surface. 	Vintage Japanese Animal Game Sheet-Perforated Cards 10.5 inches (26.6 cm) wide 15.25 inches (38.7 cm) tall EX	This large size vintage Japanese game sheet contains 55 perforated, but un-punched cards. They are similar to menko cards with an animal image, a playing card, a numerical value and some Japanese characters on the front. The backs are printed in a blue ink design. I'm not sure how you would play with these cards, perhaps the Japanese instructions on the back of the larger center card would give us a hint. Each animal pictured is seen in four different forms. We have snakes, wart hogs, dogs, monkeys, horses, dragons and sea horses, tigers, rabbits, mice, cows, and lions. They ususally appear dressed and engaging in human like behaviors. The whole sheet is in excellent condition, un-used.	JPS-56 $25.

	Vintage Japanese Decal Transfer Book-Colorful Cowboy Cover-4 Pages-80 Transfers 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) wide 8 inches (20.5 cm) tall Very Good	This vintage Japanese transfer picture book contains four sheets, each with 20 different images. The cover has colorful series of cowboy images: a masked rider, Indian on horseback, a dapper gunman and then inexplicably a rocket flying through space and a bird. These last two are shown on small rectangles and probably represent different books. The decals on the pages are: 20 Tarzan related scenes, 20 travel decals for countries of the world, 20 Western cowboy scenes and 20 decals of soldiers and scenes of battle. Condition is very good on this 1950's-60's transfer book. The pages inside have a tendency to stick together if it is humid but I had no trouble with carefully seperating them. Made in Japan but sold in the USA.	JPD-3 $10.

	Pair of Vintage Japanese Magic Smoke Novelty Cards-Tetsujin and Astro Boy 3 and 1/8 inches ( 8 cm) tall 2 inches (5.2 cm) wide EX	These small book-like cards have an image of Astro Boy with two robots on one side and Gigantor (Tetsujin-28) and a rocket on the other. The colorful artwork has a naive quality. The little book-like novelty opens to show a peel-off paper and some Japanese instructions. I believe that these are magic smoke cards. The box they came in seems to indicate some kind of smoke or something that happens by rubbing whatever is under the peel-off paper between your fingers. I tried it...nothing happens. So either it never worked or age has interferred with the desired result. Still, these are attractive images and I am selling them as a pair so that you can easily display both sides.	JPO-1 $12. PAIR
	Vintage Japanese Paper Bag with Invisible Ink Papers-Anime Hero with Feathered Mask 4.75 inches (12 cm) by 6 and 3/8 inches (16.2 cm) VG-EX	This colorful paper bag has really attractive litho of an anime character wearing a red cape, a hood, and a feathered mask. He brandishes a futuristic looking rifle and has a number 15 on his chest. The bag contains 7 or 8 sheets inside that have anime images in invisible ink (probably revealed by heat, but I am not positive). You can see a faint image on some of the sheets. The main attraction of this item is the fabulous image on the front. The back side of the bag has some Japanese lettering. Condition is very good to excellent, and unused. I am not sure how well the invisible ink images will come up so there is no guarantee on those. You are buying this item for the great artwork on the front of the bag.	JPO-4 $10.
	Colorful Vintage 1950's Japanese Print-Woman and Child 5 inches (12.5 cm) wide 10 and 5/8 inches (27 cm) tall Excellent	I have no idea what this 1950's vintage Japanese paper print was used for. The fact that a smaller section at the top is printed upside down would make it work on a cylinder as a label. The colors in this print are typical 1950's vibrant red, turquoise, lime green, yellow and pink. I do not know what the Japanese characters say. The image shows a woman in traditional Japanese dress with a small boy. The reversed end shows a boy in a ball cap with a chicken. The paper is quite thin so the images show through on the back to some extent. Condition is excellent and unused with no obvious age related issues.	JPO-7 $10.

The colors in this print are typical 1950's vibrant red, turquoise, lime green, yellow and pink. I do not know what the Japanese characters say. The image shows a hot air balloon with an octopus as the balloon and two children and a rabbit in the basket.. Two puffy fish are on the reversed smaller part of the print. The octopus with the headband seems to be a recurring Japanese character who shows up on whistles and other paper items. The paper is quite thin so the images show through on the back to some extent. Condition is excellent and unused with no obvious age related issues.	JPO-8 $10.

The image shows a boy wearing a baseball cap and holding a bat on his shoulder. His hand rests on his little sister's pigtailed head. 	Vintage Japanese Cardboard Cowboy Holster-B 9 inches (22.8 cm) Tall 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) Wide Good	This vintage Japanese cardboard holster has a colorful image of a cowboy on his rearing horse. Made entirely of cardboard with a belt loop and space for your toy gun. Condition is unused but with dirt of the ages and some wear to the paper on the front. I have not attempted to clean it. 	Pre War Japan Hallowen Mask-Charlie Chaplin 7.75 inches (19.5 cm) tall EX	This pre-war Japanese paper mask is one of a series of character Halloween masks. This mask is Charlie Chaplin. The flat lithographed paper has eyes that are slightly pre-cut to remove them so you can see where you are going. There are also holes for elastic or string (which is not supplied) The eyes are still attached on this mask. These masks are made of a fairly thin paper. Condition is excellent. The colors are bright and unfaded.	JPO-12 $40.
	Pre War Japan Hallowen Mask-Brutus (Bluto) 7.75 inches (19.5 cm) tall VG-EX	This pre-war Japanese paper mask is one of a series of character Halloween masks. This mask is Brutus or Bluto (PopEye's buddy). The flat lithographed paper has eyes that are slightly pre-cut to remove them so you can see where you are going. There are also holes for elastic or string (which is not supplied) The eyes are still attached on this mask. These masks are made of a fairly thin paper. Condition is excellent. 	1950's Vintage Japanese Manga Comic Book- Sultan, Elephants, Ivory Poachers 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall and 2 and 5/8 inches (6.5 cm) wide Very Good to Excellent	This small 1950's vintage colorful Japanese comic book or manga is 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall and 2 and 5/8 inches (6.5 cm) wide. The book has 28 panels on 14 pages. Each set of two pages is printed in a single ink color: blue, red, purple?brown or green. Sometimes the ink on some pages is light (a printing defect, not age). The story is, of course, a mystery to me. It seems to involve attacking elephants for their tusks and then remorsefully helping the sad elephants find the tusks. Without knowing the language it is pretty hard to keep the characters straight. When opened and laid flat, the front and back covers usually form a single picture. In this case you'll see the sultan and his minion on the front cover and the sultan's palace on the back. Made in Japan for the Japanese market, the book reads right to left. Condition is very good to excellent. Sometimes pages are loose since they are held together with a single staple. The corner tips might be bent or missing on the cover page.	JPO-20 $8.
	Unused Vintage Japanese Post Card- Cute Blue Robot with Comic Man 5 and 7/8 inches (15 cm) by 3.75 inches (9.6 cm) EX	This beautiful unused vintage Japanese post card is from an assorted pack. The card is printed on a light weight cardboard. The image is a drawing of a cute blue robot with a comic looking little man. Condition is excellent and unused.	JPO-24 $15.
	Colorful Vintage Japanese Packet of Drawing Papers-National Kid on Bag 5 and 1/8 inch (13 cm) wide and 7 and 1/8 inche (18 cm) tall EX	This colorful vintage Japanese bag contains five sheets of drawing paper with faint images of the character National Kid on them. The front of the bag has a detailed, colorful scene showing the character National Kid with rockets, and space ships in the background. The back of the bag shows instructions in Japanese along with some other images, notably Donald Duck. The front surface of the drawing papers has a smooth feel as if there is a coating of some kind. These pages have not been used but do show some edge foxing. A strange implement is also in the bag...a short pink plastic tube with a rounded metal pin head at one end. I am not sure what role this plays. It is possible that these are pages with invisible ink images that are activated by heat or some other catalyst...but who cares !! It is all about the bag anyway. 	Vintage Japanese Cardboard Fuji Film Advertising Fan-Shogun Warriors 6.7 inches (17 cm) wide and tall-plastic handle adds 4 inches VG-EX	This colorful vintage Japanese cardboard fan has wonderful artwork showing three Shogun Warriors on the front. The back of the fan has advertising for Fuji Film F-II color film. Colors are bright, condition is very good to excellent.	JPO-27 $30.
	Vintage Japanese Cardboard Fuji Film Advertising Fan-Kamen Rider on Motorcycle 6.7 inches (17 cm) wide and tall-plastic handle adds 4 inches VG-EX	This colorful vintage Japanese cardboard fan has wonderful artwork showing Kamen Rider leaping forward on his motorcycle with a couple of monsters behind him on the front. The book, which opens like a flip book, can hang from its cord. The two sided cardboard cover has fabulous color litho on front and back of the boyish race car driver and his car.
